NACPAN AND MAREMEGMEG BEACH TRAVEL GUIDE FOR A DAY

Heading to El Nido, Palawan anytime soon? Don’t miss out and check out this Nacpan and Maremegmeg Beach Travel Guide for a day the DIY style.

MAREMEGMEG BEACH FOR SUNSET WATCHING

My trip to Nacpan and Marimegmeg Beach for the day was part of my 5D / 4N Solo Trip to El Nido, Palawa. For full itinerary of my 5 Days stay please read link below :

Also read: My first solo travel in El Nido for 5D / 4N (full itinerary, budget, and tips)

This trip was initially being offered thru travel agencies as well and they call it the Tour E. But since I have gotten solo on this and decided I wanted to make use of my time at my own phase, to beach bum and plan for my entire day I rented a motorbike with a driver for Php800 pesos / USD 15 good for the entire day. If you know how to use the motorbike you may rent also for only P500 pesos for the entire day and you may roam around El Nido on your own. It doesn’t have traffic at all, so roaming around was really good.

If you are traveling with a partner or group I suggest you hire a tricycle for the land and beach trip, the usual cost is P1,500 good for the entire day. You may contact Kuya Erick – 09505022574 as he can offer the trike ride as low as P1,000 pesos. I originally booked for the trike ride, when I rode to Kuya Erick on my way to my hostel but then the motorbike seemed more enticing for me after a day or two in the island, and since I am only solo I took the motorbike instead.

By 9AM I was fetched from my hostel and went all the way to Nacpan Beach, the first stop was almost a 45 minutes ride from the city proper.

SOLO TRIP TO NACPAN BEACH VIA HABAL-HABAL

*I had to take a selfie coz I don’t get to ride in a motorbike in Manila HAHAHA!

There is an entrance fee of P50 pesos when you enter Nacpan Beach. Lucky for me my driver “Kuya Lester” somehow knew everyone in Nacpan so I get to save for that *wink and I was able to enter for FREE.

You may contact Kuya Lester – 09502753163 he was my driver and tour guide during this trip plus my photographer hahaha!! (*solo travels feels) I super recommend him! I get to trust him with all my things too.

So here’s a glimpse of Nacpan Beach.

No need to filter your photos, nor to enhance it’s look! It was definitely a paradise! If you are into beach bumming and enjoys a lazy laid back afternoon at the beach this is a perfect place for you too!

In the entrance area you’ll see tourist playing beach volley and sun bathing everywhere but since we are in motorbike, Kuya Lester toured me all the way to the farthest part of Nacpan and that is where I stayed for hours.

BEACH BUMMING ACTIVITY IN NACPAN BEACH

With the small shade from the tree, I used my pashmina and lie down in the sand as much time as I want. I read a book, sleep for a while and relax myself.

CRYSTAL CLEAR WATER IN NACPAN | SNORKELING ACTIVITY

Swim all you can with this crystal clear water in Nacpan Beach! I don’t even need to use a goggles for me to see how fine white the sand is and how enchanting this place could be.

Come by 2PM and it was almost after lunch time, I had to try and check out seafoods as well while at the beach. In Nacpan, there were also many restos for you to eat. Price range from 150 – 450 pesos.

FOOD STALL ALONG NACPAN BEACH

I certainly enjoyed the seafood lunch in Nacpan, I asked Kuya Lester to join me and he started sharing more of his personal stories and work across El Nido and Manila. After the lunch I then went to Marimegmeg Beach, it was another 45 minutes motorbike ride all the way from Nacpan.

But prior going to the beach I had my ziplining activity for Php500 / USD 10. Should you wish to do ziplining inform your driver ahead of time as there is a separate entrance going to this site. It was almost a 30 – 45 minutes hike all the way on top (*well, I was kinda tired during this time and since I was basically relaxing the entire morning my muscles were then shocked from it HAHAHA!) On a normal pace, I think 20 minutes will do.

It was an almost 2 minutes zipline ride. I was able to enjoy it so much, nice view and nice weather that it compliments the entire ride.

Marimegmeg Beach

Marimegmeg Beach on the other hand is also a nice destination to visit too, you may also swim here in Marimegmeg but expect more rocks and the water isn’t as crystal clear that of Nacpan.

The highlight here and the tourist make a visit here for the perfect sunset watching. Off course  this should always be part of my itinerary as well!

I had to secure a sit by 5pm as tourists were all picking up with the perfect spaces to capture the sunset.

Thanks to my pashmina wherever I go, make sure you always have one — hihi! It is super useful wherever you are.

MAREMEGMEG SUNSET WATCHING

Compare with Nacpan, Marimegmeg is more commercialized with different and more resto spaces, more party feels vibes and mood in the area and there is more people here anytime of the day.

Update as of 2019 : There’s this new VANILLA BEACH where if you are compare it with Boracay was similar with the D’ Mall, there’s different stores and restaurants, food stalls to check out and it also serves as the entrance going to Maremegmeg Beach.

By 6PM after the sunset I hurriedly looked for my service and we went to the public market to buy some pasalubongs as well.

DAY 4 TWIN BEACH

AS a whole, this day was pretty much full of new and exciting memories and adventure.

I loved Nacpan Beach so much!!! and I want everyone to come visit and discover the beach too! It is truly a paradise and deserves to be kept as it is. Hope it won’t get more commercialized than that coz it is already perfect! Tell me about your favorite beach experience so far? Was it also in the Philippines?

  7. Nacpan and Marimegmeg Beach both look beautiful! I was just thinking how great it is that you can hire a motorbike and drive it along the roads with – no traffic, you say? Amazing! It’s so hard to find such pristine place not attacked with all the tourism.
And it seems like you had so much fun. Your driver posing as a photographer as well? How nice of him. 🙂
Love the photo of the seafood at that restaurant on the beach, yummy! 😛

  8. Looks like a fun day! Nacpan beach does look really beautiful. Is there any reef off of it to snorkel on? I like to be in the water. I get too bored quickly just trying to lay on the beach. I’d definitely be up for the zip lining and that crab looks so yummy!

We visited Coron and some of the smaller islands around Coron for two weeks last year. We had planned to go to El Nido too, but loved Coron so much we ended up just staying there the entire time.

  9. You have provided good practical information in your post. I wish you had told us something more about the destination as well. What did you feel there, did you meet any people, what makes it different or not different from million other beach destinations?

  10. We had visited the Philippines a few years ago and I’m convinced that some of the most beautiful beaches in the world are there! Watching the sunset at Marimegmeg was particularly memorable. Your article has me wanting to return to experience it all over again and try some of the different tours. We didn’t get a chance to do ziplining there, it looks incredible! Thanks for the inspiration, hoping to return to that beautiful country in the near future!

  11. Nacpan Beach looks absolutely stunning, like something out of a postcard! I’ve never been to El Nido but this would totally be on my list if I went. Love the look of the fresh crabs, too, I love seafood and being in London it isn’t always that great!

  12. Nacpan Beach is stunning – I wonder if it’s the whitest sand in the world – looks like it! So cool that you can take a motorbike directly on the beach – paradise indeed! Crab for lunch followed by ziplining in the afternoon sounds like an awesome itinerary. Marimegmeg Beach looks nice too – and yes, that’s definitely a stunning sunset! So glad you had a fab day!

I haven’t been to EL Nido yet, and will surely visit Nacpan beach and marimegmeg beach if i get the chance. The other beach seems to be really not familiar to me, but very stunning. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.
